Pink Floyd - The Wall mp3 flac

The Wall is the eleventh studio album by English rock band Pink Floyd, released in 1979 through Harvest and Columbia Records. Conceived during the In The Flesh tour, recording spanned nearly a year, from December 1978 to November 1979, and took place in France, England, New York, and Los Angeles. It was produced by Bob Erzin, who helped to refine the concept and bridge tensions during recording. Some of the outtakes from the recording sessions were used on the band's next album, The Final Cut (1983).

Pink Floyd – The Wall is a 1982 British surrealist musical drama film directed by Alan Parker with animated segments by political cartoonist Gerald Scarfe, and is based on the 1979 Pink Floyd album of the same name.

Produced by James Guthrie, Roger Waters, David Gilmour & 1 more. Disk 1. 1. In the Flesh? 2. The Thin Ice 3. Another Brick in the Wall (Part I) 4. The Happiest Days of Our Lives 5. Another Brick in the Wall (Part II) 6. Mother 7. Goodbye Blue Sky 8. Empty Spaces 9. Young Lust 10. One of My Turns 11. Don't Leave Me Now 12. Another Brick in the Wall (Part III) 13. Goodbye Cruel World.

January 1979: Pink Floyd began seven months of intermittent recording at Super Bear Studios and Studio Miraval in France on their next album, The Wall. 1 September 1979: Two months of work began on The Wall at CBS Studios, New York with The New York Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor/arranger Michael Kamen. Floyd later worked on The Wall at Los Angeles' Cherokee Studios and Producers Workshop. 1 November 1979: Pink Floyd began a week's recording and mixing at The Producers Workshop in Los Angeles.

It documented the rise and fall of a rock star (named Pink Floyd), based on Waters' own experiences and the tendencies he'd observed in people around him. By then, the bassist had firm control of the group's direction, working mostly alongside David Gilmour and bringing in producer Bob Ezrin as an outside collaborator. Drummer Nick Mason was barely involved, while keyboardist Rick Wright seemed to be completely out of the picture. Still, The Wall was a mighty, sprawling affair, featuring 26 songs with vocals: nearly as many as all previous Floyd albums combined.

Another Brick in the Wall Part 1 Lyrics. Daddy's flown across the ocean Leaving just a memory Snapshot in the family album Daddy what else did you leave for me? Daddy, what'd'ja leave behind for me?!? All in all it was just a brick in the wall. All in all it was all just bricks in the wall. Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 Lyrics. We don't need no education We dont need no thought control No dark sarcasm in the classroom Teachers leave them kids alone Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone! All in all it's just another brick in the wall. All in all you're just another brick in the wall. We don't need no education We dont need no thought control No dark sarcasm in the classroom Teachers leave them kids alone Hey!

Listen free to Pink Floyd – The Wall (In the Flesh, The Thin Ice and more). The Wall is a rock opera presented as a double album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released on November 30th, 1979. It was subsequently performed live, with elaborate theatrical effects, and made into a film. Following in the footsteps of their previous albums, The Wall is a concept album - specifically, it deals largely with the theme of isolation from one's peers

Notes

1st pressing with picture labels in gatefold sleeve with plastic sticker that adheres to the sleeve, but is not permantly stuck on.

Inner sleeves also feature the "Wall" design with lyrics (graphics by Gerald Scarfe).

The track order on the inners is not the same as featured on the album.

Specific to the first issue sleeve:

Band members are not listed on the inside cover. It only says "Words and Music - Roger Waters. Except..." and "Produced By David Gilmour, Bob Ezrin, Roger Waters". Re-pressings added band member credits and had other minor alterations.

No bar code on the back cover.

The Wall is cream coloured, not true white. The bricks on the front cover are not aligned right to the bottom of the cover on the outside or inside.

There are two 1st pressing sleeve variants:

1. A single sheet of wrap-around cardboard with the seam across the inner top edge of the cover.
2. Two sheets of cardboard, with seams at the top and bottom of the cover. Cardboard is heavy thickness.

There are two 1st pressing lyric inner sleeve variants (Both are on thick card with rounded corners and a nine-inch thumb notch at the top):

1. Sides 2 and 4 have the catalog number of the specific record listed on a single line in the lower right corner.
2. Sides 2 and 4 have the catalog number (SHDW 411), international catalogue number (OC-158 63410), and the UK catalogue number (SHSP 4111) in the lower right corner.

Mastered at The Mastering Lab (Los Angeles, CA, USA).

Recorded at Superbear (Miravel, France), Producers Workshop (Los Angeles, CA, USA) & C.B.S. (New York, NY, USA) between April and November 1979.

Three different catalog numbers, one for the album and one for each disc:

SHDW 411 = album
OC-15863410 SHSP 4111 = disc 1
OC-15863411 SHSP 4112 = disc 2
