The Renegade Featuring Ray Keith - Terrorist / Something I Feel mp3 flac

Mastered At – The Exchange. Lacquer Cut At – The Exchange. Renegade : Terrorist. This classic never fails to deliver for me. Probably one of the biggest Drum & Bass tunes of all time, still has a devastating impact, danceability and downright darkness to it that has never been quite rivalled since. The repetitive nature of this track has been pulled off to perfection, you don't get bored, in fact you want to get deeper into the groove as each section leaves you wanting more.

Hi guys! I’ve been collect tracks with terrorist-reese bass for a few years already. Here is the list: http://bit.ly/2ycFB2M.I think it will be a great for DoA guests!Let’s fill it together! If you ever find tracks with terrorist-reese (that aren’t in list) then write me! I’m gonna add them with noticing the person who found them. In case you think that there is something wrong in list - let's discuss it. Thanks!
Wal
That's a huge job you've done!!! Don't think there's much that can be added to it.

The repetitive nature of this track has been pulled off to perfection, you don't get bored, in fact you want to get deeper into the groove as each section leaves you wanting more. Why don't they make tracks like this anymore? Maybe it has something to do with the era it was released? The dark edginess of the clubs where the conception and inspiration of the tune was born? The fact that it was the perfect interpretation of what it felt like to have been in those altered states that was such an important part of the early 90's youth culture revolution? A mix of all these factors for sure. All I know is that there has never been another era in Drum & Bass that quite hit the spot for me as the early to mid 90's did, and this was the soundtrack to it!

Terrorist was made at Christmas 1993.

Nobay does bass like Keith! Huge track and for good reason, simple to the point and maximum impact!

"Only 2 copies pressed at plant"Either that info is wrong, or we have 3 liars claiming to have this in their collections!
Cobyno
There was probably more pressed at the plant as you have to allow for the people who worked there making their own copies of tunes. This was the only reason why they probably worked at them. I had a friend who worked at that plant and finally got sacked for making his own white vinyl TP of an Aphex Twin tune.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fzsu3_RSgjM - here's the tune that it sampled from (well, the video a remix of Nightporter, I couldn't find the original). I's a decent tune, the Amen is good, but it is so fucking repetitive; a 2-bar drum loop??!! You could've tried harder than that, Keith!
Grari
Its meant to sound like that you berk, this is when everything 'jungle dropped into place' The simply looped Amen is the key to the pure rugged weight of the tune.
Hudora
I agree, the repetitiveness is one of this tracks key virtues.
Karon
Its that minimal raw beat that makes this tune so good in my opinion. There are subtle changes and layers all the way through. I love the section where it phases.

Whoever listens this timeless Breakbeat classic "Terrorist" by Ray Keith & Gavin Cheung (A.K.A. Nookie) for the first time will never imagine what comes right after the opening dramatic pianos taken from Japan's "The Nightporter": an oscillating bassline from Kevin Sauderson's classic "Just Want Another Chance" (1988) as Reese and the Amen Break based Breakbeat storm (sampled from the complete drum solo drop out of "Amen, Brother" by The Winstons, 1969) that would cause a very singular impact on the history of Jungle & Drum n' Bass. As a natural consequence, "Terrorist" was included on many important compilations such as 'Drum & Bass Selection 2', 'Jungle Fever Vol. 1 - The Jungalistic Revolution', 'Jungle Mania 2', 'The Ultimate Jungle Collection', 'Radio Dreamscape Volume One', 'World Dance - The Drum + Bass Experience', among others. Although there is no credits on the sleeve or label for Nookie, he was with Ray Keith the composer and producer of this single. The B side of this single reveals a homage to Cuba Gooding (singer of The Main Ingredient seventies Soul band): the title "Something I Feel" comes from the quote of Cuba Gooding's acappella "I think it's something I feel (...)" took from the original Main Ingredient tune "Happiness Is Just Around The Bend" (1974); there is also another sample of flutes and strings from the introduction of "Breezin'" (1976) by George Benson.

Now that is an oldskool Jungle piano riff! This is truly a child of the heyday of Jungle, back when Reeces and Amens were considered top of the line. About half way through the track there is a nice vocal sample that *almost* changes the overall mood of the tune. Definitely a classic!
Mall
Big Big tune across London in particular during 1994. Still drops even now. Bassline subsequently sampled by hundreds of others looking to cash in behind it. Anyone whose anybody on the scene would recognise that piano riff intro almost immediately.
