It’s the story of 21 million records sold worldwide. 13 UK chart singles, five of them Top 10 hits, two gold and one platinum-selling albums. This extensive product has been a full two years in the making. Under the watchful eye of executive producers Dave Ball and Marc Almond, the box set reveals over 130 tracks and over 12 hours of music. One of the discs includes new interpretations and extended versions of key album tracks and fan favourites from Soft Cell’s history by Dave Ball, working with Chris Smith and Philip Larsen. The team have also worked on Non-Stop Euphoric Dubbing, an hour-long continuous dance mix of both well and lesser-known fan favourites topped off with a few selected remixes.

In an age of pointlessly re-hashed discographies, re-packaged trash, and "remastered" travesties being rushed to market to wring every last cent out of generational nostalgia, this collection stands as an exception. Impressively deep and wide-ranging across the Soft Cell catalogue, it's packed with both classics and truly rare treasures. As a retrospective, it excels in illuminating areas of Soft Cell's career that were left out of the charts and have been little more than fan lore circulated via bootleg tapes (...and then CDs...and then MP3s, etc) for decades. Genuine value for money!!

Has anyone gotten a replacement DVD yet? I haven't even gotten an acknowledgement of my email back, let alone a DVD, so I was curious how it might have gone for anyone else.

Finally, after 1 month of wait (I sent the email on 13 October), yesterday I received the envelope from UMC.Inside I found 2 dvds for replacement (instead of just 1, I wonder why) and even a cardboard coaster with a code to download the mp3 of Guilty (Wow & Flutter remix).I checked most of one of the dvds (I left the other sealed) and it works perfectly watching it on tv with the blu-ray player. Now I can say I'm satisfied with this situation.

Sent email on 31 October, received replacement today. There was no reply to the email in the interim. I'm in the US, so that's a pretty quick response. So far the section that was affected seems to be playing fine.
Andromajurus
It was the 14.09.2018 i sent the E-Mail to them.
Kazigrel
Great news ! Can you please say when you sent the email ? Just to understand the timing...

Got my Replacement DVD just yesterday. Not watched jet. No E-Mail inbetween.

I too sent an email to Universal (Sept 14) regarding issues with my DVD with no response. On Sept 29, I sent an email to Lexer asking about this and their response was: "A few people have mentioned this, my understanding is they are just accumulating the emails until a production run has been undertaken and then dealing with, so I’d give them a couple of weeks on this as I’m sure it’ll be sorted then. " Well, that's now been over a month ago and still no response nor acknowledgement from Universal. While I could be wrong, this issue seems like it's getting swept under the rug.
Doomwarden
I'm in your same situation. Email sent but received nothing, no DVD, no reply.I guess they didn't even make the correct DVDs yet.At least, I'm lucky enough that my DVD works fine watching it on the computer (but not in the BluRay player on the TV)

WARNING ! I've just read it on Marc Almond's Facebook page.OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM UNIVERSAL MUSIC REGARDING KEYCHAINS & SNOWSTORMS DVD:Universal Music are sorry to inform you that owing to a hand-packing issue, some of the DVD discs featured in the Soft Cell Keychains & Snowstorms Boxset have been damaged causing playing issues, such as freezing and juddering. We would like to make you aware that due to this issue we are currently pressing additional copies of the DVD for anyone who has been affected. If you have experienced problems with your DVD and would like a replacement disc, please contact [email protected] with proof of purchase (a scan, screen grab or photo of the receipt will do) and your address and it will be sent out to you. Additionally, a small number of fans have had a problem with the spine of the booklet, telling us that it is broken. Again, if this is an issue, please contact the above e-mail address with a photo of the damaged spine and proof of purchase and we will send out a replacement booklet. Please do not contact the retailer you bought your box set from as Universal are dealing with it directly, and kindly please do not post any further issues on social media. Please note that re-pressings of the box set will include a new packing solution to prevent this happening again, so if you have not ordered your box set yet, please order with confidence.

"please order with confidence".... DAMN ! These are the so called famous last words !After getting to know one month ago of those faulty boxsets, I decided to postpone the purchase of my boxset.I waited patiently 3 weeks, hoping that was enough time for Universal to pick up the bad boxsets and replace them with the good ones.So 5 days ago I bought it (from Amazon Italy) and I received 2 days after.Immediately after opening it, I breathed a sigh of relief to note the booklet is ok.After that, I insert the DVD in my Blu-Ray player connected to the TV, to check if everything works fine, and unfortunately I realize that it's not like that. After playing correctly the whole Non Stop Exotic Video Show, the first issues come at the end of the Live at The Amnesia Club, with annoying clicks in the tracks A Man Can Get Lost and Memorabilia, that make the screen freeze several times. But the worse comes with the BBC Appearances, because the first two tracks (Tainted Love and Bedsitter) dont'even start to play !All of this happens, as I said, watching the DVD on TV with a Blu-Ray player, while later I found out that everything works perfectly watching it on the PC screen with its DVD writer. So I guess it's also a matter of hardware and equipment.Anyway, when I bought the boxset I paid also for a DVD that I can watch easily on TV, so I just sent an email at [email protected] to ask legitimately for a replacement disc, so now I just have to be patient and wait...(needless to say, I'm disappointed for this unpleasant situation, because the persons in charge of this project should have used more quality control before the release)

Since when was Down in the Subway 7:50 minutes long? Surely it was the shortest single Soft Cell ever did?
Acrobat
What are you on about? It's on the 12" disc of this set. It's also on The Twelve inch singles (2000, CD) same duration.

There are in fact 4 versions of the song. LP 2:50/7" 3:22/12" 3:59/12" Remix 7:48
